Sewing Club

Hagerman High School is not like other high schools. They strive to help kids get into extracurricular activities; even if that means making new clubs. One of these clubs is a sewing club. There are very few people in this club, but for those two people, Hagerman made it possible and enjoyable. Dalli Elison, a member of Hagerman High School’s sewing club, was asked multiple questions about being involved in the club. One of these questions was, what is your favorite part about this sewing club? Her response to this question was, “My favorite part is being able to learn a new skill and to be able to hang out with my best friend.” Dalli is a very busy person, and sometimes there is no time to see her friend, Kinley. This sewing club is one way to connect with people, see friends, and learn new things. Hagerman High School’s sewing club meets up about once or twice a week. If anyone is wondering if they can join the club, or if they are too late to join, they are in luck and, “all you need to do is get ahold of Mrs. Owsley and ask to join.” Hagerman has made it possible for these two students to meet up, learn new things, and enjoy the company of a friend.
